Guys:
This letter of understanding is being implemented for all locations that fall under a variable calling pool. There is so much confusion about being removed prior to vacation and when to remove and whatnot that we now have the ability to act prior to activation. If any engineer working in a variable calling pool does not want to be removed from the board and wishes to make his last trip prior to vacation beginning is exactly what will happen from now on. If you don’t want to work into your vacation then you can lay off, NFB, FOB or use the Code PRE which will allow you your name to be removed from your turn number prior to being activate. Then depending on which type of variable calling agreement you have will kick into effect. If you shove the pool when an engineer lays off then if an engineer lays off prior to activation under the above scenario the pool will be shoved and the next out engineer will be activated at the next update. If an extra man is used to protect vacancies in your variable calling pool then if you lay off prior to activation your turn will still be filled by the extra board just as before. Maybe this will stop all the confusion that is happening and to prevent so much anger about being pulled off the board when the engineer wanted to make the round trip before going on vacation.
